I’m looking for a few publications for which I can write about subjects such as electronic publishing, e-mail, e-commerce, paid content, digital editions, and other phenomena of the Internet. I very much enjoyed my recent writing assignments for Online Journalism Review (on What Newspapers and Their Web Sites Must Do to Survive and Weak Online Economics Threaten Quality of All Journalism, Pew Study Finds.
Though for several years I’ve been paid honoraria ($100 to $200 each) for the columns about paid content, which I’ve written for JupiterMedia, and for articles about electronic publishing for the American Press Institute, I hadn’t done any paid public writing (a category that doesn’t include private reporting for my consulting clients) since I ceased working in newspaper newsrooms in the early 1980s. Now, I’ve discovered that I miss that activity.
So, if anyone (on any continent) needs a writer about the topics I mentioned, please do let me know. Commercial rates only, no honoraria (particularly if I’m asked to write about paid content). Consumer publications, trade journals, and corporate publications only; no newsletters.
