We’re pleased to see our Theory of New Media — which we originally formulated
as a way to explain to publishers and broadcasters what the differences are between Traditional and New Media — is now the required reading during the first week of the basic New Media course at the University of Montana’s Montana Tech.
Our Theory has also been required reading at the University of Oregon’s School of Journalism, Stamford University’s Future of News in a Democracy course, and at the University of Maine’s Computer Game Design course.
The Montanan class’s assignment during the second week is to comment upon the Theory, an assignment that was due yesterday. We apologize to them for not until now noticing their incoming traffic to our Web site, too late for us to answer any questions from them personally. However, if we can still do anything for them students or their professor, Matt Hamon, we hope they will let us know.
